Nature-Based Therapy Walking Group

About

This group will combine the healing aspects of nature, movement, social connection and evidence based mental health intervention. Research suggests that spending time outdoors is linked with mental health benefits. Being outside has been linked to reductions in stress, anxiety and depression symptoms.

Participants Can Expect:

  • Learn new strategies to support mental health and wellbeing

  • Walk with a group or walk at your own pace. There are benches along the path to rest as needed

  • Socialize

  • Engage with nature

This group is weather dependent - The group will not meet in the rain. If the group is cancelled, you will receive an email by 9:00am.

Location & Hours

This group runs every Wednesday, starting April - October (End Date TBD), from 9:30am t0 10:30am at Little Lake Park (in front of Little Lake Restaurant) in Midland.
