PULMONARY REHABILITATION

About

Pulmonary Rehab is an educational program for people living with COPD that includes:

  • An exercise program to meets your individual needs

  • Supervision by health care providers

  • Education about how to manage COPD

​

Research has shown that individuals who participate in Pulmonary Rehab enjoy a better quality of life, spend less time in the hospital, and are able to be more physically active with less shortness of breath. Additionally, many activities of daily living, such as, getting dressed, showering, and preparing meals, become easier over time.

​

You should attend this program if:

  • You have COPD

  • You have to stop to rest after walking for a few minutes or after getting dressed because you are experiencing shortness of breath

​

Location & Hours

This program is located at the North Simcoe Family Health Team's main office at 619 Prospect Blvd., Suite 3, in Midland. This program runs two times/week for 8 weeks. Contact us for group session dates.
