ADULT MENTAL HEALTH

About

Registered mental health clinicians provide an assessment and counselling. The clinician and patient work together to develop goals for treatment. This service helps individuals and families manage a variety of issues such as:

  • Depression, anxiety and/or stress

  • Grief and loss

  • Stress

  • Relationship issues

  • Mood changes after baby

Patients work with their clinician for approximately 4-6 sessions. The clinician works collaboratively with the patient's physician and/or nurse practitioner to provide care and meet the patients needs. Dependent on those needs, a referral to community services or a psychiatric consultation may be facilitated.
