ADULT MENTAL HEALTH

About

Registered Mental Health Clinicians provide assessment and short-term counselling. The Clinician and patient work together to develop goals for treatment. This service supports individuals and families in managing a variety of concerns, including:

  • Depression, anxiety, adjustment and/or stress

  • Grief and loss

  • Relationship issues

Patients work with their clinician for approximately 8 sessions. Depending on individual needs, a referral to community services or a psychiatric consultation may be arranged.

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for appointment cancellations. After 2 consecutive missed appointments (no-shows or same-day cancellations), a 6-month hold will be applied before you are eligible to re-enroll in the service.
